This movie could be used to define neorealism. It certainly was taken place in a natural setting and had a very local feel to it. Watching this movie made me feel like a friend told me a story and it is exaclty as I would envision it. The lack of hollywood resolution in this movie really showed its reality since in the real world people do not always get their problems solved the conventional way.

Thanks for posting, Omar. At this point in the semester, the ideal blog post will be several paragraphs and elaborate on your points, including specific elements from the film. Tell the reader where it took place when you say "in a natural setting", and what visual cues communicated that to you. Also, what else made it feel real? What about the long takes, often watching Ricci and Bruno walk across the entire screen, or even the location of a working class Roman neighborhood?
